Roger gave us a extremely entertaining magic show at our Canada 150 Celebration!

We will definitely get him back to perform again.

Great Sandhills Museum, Sceptre, SK

Roger’s show was totally entertaining and something our entire student body and staff will never forget!

Plan for your guests

Whatever type of event you are planning the measure of success is how much your guests enjoyed it and talk about it

afterwards. Make sure you plan for your guests to have the best time possible! You have entertainment and you want

your guests tosee and hear them to fully engage in the show. When setting up how far do you put the first row from

the stage? If they are too far you create the void that sucks all life from the performance and allows for people to not

be engaged due to distance from the show and start to talk and distract other people. I know you want a dance floor

in front after the show and it is needed, though perhaps after the show you could move chairs or tables to make the

floor? That way you get the best show for your money. Recommended around 10 feet max that way people will be

engaged!

You are getting a gala ready and have found the most amazing tree or flower or tower, candles, etc. to go on the center

of your table. Looks beautiful both from near and far.... and your guest have to look around each one to see the stage

and blocks their view. They get to look like chickens looking around a post to see the show. Or rubber necking it to

look over it, they could even stand to see then unknowingly making themselves a great door for those behind. Having

entertainment means that for your guests you may want to change the height of the center pieces and find

something equally as beautiful that doesn't take away from the event. (even at a wedding the bride might not be seen

:(

What type of sound system do you or your entertainment have? Oh you mean to say that for the 200 person event the

venue doesn't have a sound system? A person could project I suppose for the hour they are performing I am sure

people would love straining to hear. Or the system is so old it still has an 8 track player nothing will plug into that (I am

sure that everyone puts their music on cassette in these digital days) Depending on your agreement with your

entertainer you will either have to rent one or your entertainment will be able to bring their own, I know I do. That way

if the house sound system isn't compatible with your entertainers microphones they are ready to perform regardless.

Hearing is another huge part of enjoying the show. Unless the guy you got is a mime.

Timeline is also important. Ie Background musician playing 5:30-7:15 Cocktails @ 5:30, Supper @ 6:30, Entertainment

@ 7:30 Having background music over dinner is a fantastic addition to the event. Having a show where the performer

is bringing people up as volunteers while they are eating is best suited for before or after eating is finished. In order for

you to enjoy the wonderful catered meal that you brought in from the most recommended caterer in city/town you

don't want the distraction of having to pay attention to a show. Just notice that when you are enjoying eating how you

focus more on chewing and the flavour than the others around, and the conversation grinds to a halt when the food

comes as people just want to enjoy their meals. Now splitting their focus can be done… but it isn't ideal for your guests

which is why as above stated background music is perfect for meal time.

I hope the above information has helped you and you enjoyed the read.

Happy planning!

Funny, engaging and a great show for all ages were just a few of the comments we recieved. I look

forward to booking Roger in the future whether it be business meetings or kids events.

I am a trained hypnotist and Registered Clinical hypnotherapist through ARCH Canada. I believe that safety while entertaining is one of the most important things. I take care of my volunteers during each performance. Making sure that at the end of the show they will leave healthy and happy that they were a part of the show!

I enjoyed performing magic at Lower Fishing Lake

in Narrow Hills Provincial Park July 2 2016!

My show broke their previous performance

attendance records at 185 people in the hall!

Recently I was eating at Montana’s in Prince Albert

when I had a girl come up to me and ask

“Are you Roger Boucher the magician?”

She had remembered me from the show!

That was a nice surprise! So I went to their table and

did some magic to make them feel as

special as she made me feel.

Below you will see a view of the show.
